Pick up your lab notebook, lab rules and pick a lab partner.  Take home the lab rules, study them and get ONE copy signed by your parent/guardian.  RETURN that copy to me.  Keep one in your notes. Also pick up a copy of the pictures of the lab equipment so that you can identify them.  

BRING YOUR OWN COPY FROM THE PRINTOUT AND RECEIVE EXTRA CREDIT. 

Lab rule test next Friday.

Make sure you memorize the basic functional groups located in the inside cover of your book. The thirteen you need to know are located in objective 20 of your chapter 1 objectives.

Begin chapter 1.  Print out the powerpoint if you would like to have it in class.  Otherwise, you will have to take the notes in class yourself.  This is another way that we are going green.  You may want to save on a laptop computer, itouch, ipad, etc.

Do Labs on molecular models and isomer in organic chemistry.

You will have to put the isomer lab on separate paper.  You can download all labs from this website.  Copies will be available in class.
