+View the mental health video clip "Obsessed" and explore some of the most common mental disorders.

In the "Obsessed" clip the students will view two unique individuals (both suffering from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder).  Behavior therapy/management is utilized in the clip to demonstrate how these disorders can be controlled and potentially overcome.  Both individuals are having obsessions about behaviors that would otherwise be viewed as healthy habits (handwashing and excessive exercise).

+Upon completion of the video clip, use the Chapter 4 GR worksheet (attached below) to answer the questions about stress and anxiety.

Dr. Chris Klaes graduated from Seymour HS and attended Indiana University.  He graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1980, and has practiced in Seymour since graduation.  He achieved Diplomate status from the American Board of Chiropractic Neurologists in 1992 (the first chiropractor in Indiana to achieve this certification).  The Diplomate program emphasizes specialized diagnostic procedures, treatment and the rehabilitation of more difficult chiropractic cases.  Dr. Klaes currently serves as the alternative rep for the Medicare Advisory Committee for Indiana. He also served as President of the ICAI and a past Director of the ISCA.

Assignment Guidelines
1. Pick which pathogen you will be: virus, bacteria, fungi, protozoan, rickettsias.
2. Pick how you will be transmitted: direct contact, indirect contact, or airborne transmission.
3. In 3-4 paragraphs, provide a detailed description of your journey from your current host to your new host. Include details such as how you leave the body, how you enter the new host, how you affect your new host, how your transfer could have been prevented, & objects that you come into contact with.
4. Include/underline at least 4 vocabulary terms within your story/song.
5. Do your best to make your story/song creative and rhyme just as a poem/song would.
