A little bit about myself...

I teach Biology and AP Biology here at SHS.  I have a Bachelor's degree in Education with a major in Biology and a minor in Earth Space Science.  I also have a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction.  This past year (18/19) I received a certification from Indiana Wesleyn which allows me to teach science at the college level.  I currently teach at Ivy Tech and students who take my AP Biology course receive 5 free credits for the college course BIOL 105. 

 I have two beautiful, smart and sassy girls who keep me busy.  I have five...yes five furbabies.  (All dogs:)  At school,  I have fish and my bearded dragon Zeus.  I love to spend time with my family, go to concerts, travel, read and birdwatch.  I love to teach!  It is one of my happy places because I get to share my love of Biology with my students and help them gain the knowledge they need to continue on their own life journey.
